Ms Vallone joined WALCE, a lung cancer patient organisation based in Italy, in 2007 and since then has been actively involved in awareness and primary prevention campaigns, advocacy campaigns and the improvement of patient education and engagement. Ms Vallone is passionate about improving early and equal access to treatment and care, and enhancing quality of life for lung cancer patients in Italy and the rest of Europe.
Ms Vallone is the WALCE delegate to the Global Lung Cancer Coalition and has been involved in several committee and advisory boards in Italy and Europe over the past 15 years, with the aim of improving the lives of people affected by lung cancer.
