1 September 2023

On 9–12 September, the Lung Cancer Policy Network will be attending this year’s World Conference on Lung Cancer in Singapore.

The Network is participating in a rich programme of activities across the conference. We are delighted that many of the Network members will be participating in sessions and presenting their work at this year’s conference.

Members of the Network and representatives from its Secretariat will be joining clinicians, patient advocates and researchers to share  progress made in improving outcomes from lung cancer. This annual conference is a fantastic opportunity for shared learning and fostering continued collaboration among the global lung cancer community.

Learn about the implementation framework, Monday 11 September

Network member Prof. Stephen Lam will deliver an oral presentation on our Framework to support the implementation of LDCT lung cancer screening. During the presentation, Prof. Lam will discuss how the framework was developed and how it can be applied to a variety of healthcare settings and systems to support planning and implementation of LDCT screening activities.

If you’re attending, join Prof. Lam for session OA16 in Room 405A on Monday 11 September at 3:45 – 4:45 PM (SST).

Meet the Lung Cancer Policy Network, Tuesday 12 September

The Network will host a free, open event on Tuesday 12 September at 07:30 – 08:30.

This will be an opportunity to learn more about how the Network is working to make lung cancer a policy priority and improve outcomes from the disease. Members of the Network and representatives from its Secretariat will be available to answer any questions you may have and discuss the work we do. We will present Network resources, including our interactive map and implementation framework, and can answer any questions you may have about using these tools to support screening implementation activities.

The session will follow a drop-in format with no set agenda, but we would be grateful to you if you could register your interest to help us coordinate the event. Please feel welcome to join us at any time between 07:30 and 08:30. Coffee will be provided.

The event will take place in Room 332 of the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
