The Lung Cancer Policy Network has launched the third edition of its interactive map of lung cancer screening implementation. This comprehensive resource now provides an even richer database – collating clinical trials, implementation studies and organised programmes for low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) screening from around the world.

The objectives of the interactive map are to provide helpful information to countries that are considering implementation of LDCT screening for lung cancer, and to facilitate sharing insights and best practice.

The new edition of the interactive map includes:

  • updated data: all previous entries have been reviewed and refreshed to reflect the latest information on lung cancer incidence, mortality and LDCT screening status by country.
  • expanded coverage: new entries have been added from countries that were not previously included, broadening the global outlook of the map.

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the map so far. We encourage ongoing submissions to ensure the map captures the breadth of screening studies, pilots and programmes happening worldwide.
