The Lung Cancer Policy Network operates under a clear governance framework to ensure its activities are independent, evidence-informed and aligned with its mission to make lung cancer survival a global policy priority.
Good governance is not simply a formality. It’s what makes the Network’s outputs credible and its recommendations trustworthy to policymakers.
Independence and transparency
Independence and transparency are central to the Network’s governance:
- All outputs are non-promotional and evidence-based.
- Editorial control rests with the Network Secretariat to maintain integrity.
- Activities comply with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Funding arrangements are transparent (see below) and do not influence the content of outputs.
Governance structure
Network members
Members are central to the governance and delivery of all Network activities. They contribute expertise to shape strategic priorities and outputs, participate in meetings and working groups, and bring diverse national and professional perspectives to the Network’s work. All members contribute their time on a voluntary basis.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee provides strategic oversight and guidance, supporting the development of the Network’s strategic direction, advising on priority topics and workstreams, and ensuring alignment with the Network’s mission and objectives.
