Dr Anand Sachithanandan is a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon who has a clinical interest in lung cancer and the use of lung cancer screening to affect stage shift and detect disease earlier.
He co-founded and is president of the Lung Cancer Network Malaysia (LCNM), a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation that seeks to improve lung cancer outcomes through greater awareness, education and advocacy – targeting patients, carers, healthcare providers and policymakers. As president of LCNM, Dr Sachithanandan has pioneered LDCT screening and the adoption of AI technology to improve rates of diagnosis.
