Dr Kate Parker is a researcher and research project manager with a diverse background in industry and academia. She is the programme manager and co-investigator for Te Oranga Pūkahukahu, the Lung Cancer Screening Research Programme at Te Whatu Ora.

Dr Parker excels in managing research partnerships, having previously overseen the NETwork! Research study at the University of Auckland and held the positions of Operations Director at Proacta (an oncology therapeutics start-up) and Research Improvement Director at GlaxoSmithKline in the UK. With a PhD from The University of Wales, she also has a keen interest in research ethics and is a long-serving member of the Northern A Health and Disability Ethics Committee.
