Psychologist specialising in psycho-oncology and bioethics. Luciana has been advocating for people with cancer for over 15 years. An activist in the field, she has led global awareness initiatives, serves on international committees, and has been recognised as a social entrepreneur by Ashoka. Her work aims to expand access to reliable information and ensure that cancer is treated as a priority in Brazil.
Luciana serves as Oncoguia’s representative at organisations such as the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), the Global Lung Cancer Coalition and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IALSC).
As the leader of the Oncoguia Institute, she works with people affected by lung cancer to identify barriers and design initiatives to improve care. Projects developed by the Oncoguia Institute specifically for lung cancer cover topics such as precision medicine, access to genetic testing, implementation of screening and tobacco control.
