Dr Santos is a thoracic surgeon currently working at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein – São Paulo, MaterDei, Oncoclínicas, and HapNDI Health Networks in Salvador and Aracaju, Brazil.

He is a founding partner of ProPulmão, a LDCT lung cancer screening mobile unit to offer screening to high-risk populations in Brazil. Dr Santos is also a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Screening and Early Detection Committee.
