Sanjeev Sharma

Sanjeev Sharma is Co-Founder and Director of Lung Connect India Foundation, a pioneering nonprofit dedicated to advancing lung cancer care and policy. Lung Connect has made a substantial impact, supporting over 100,000 lung cancer patients and reaching more than 5 million patients virtually. With over two decades in cancer care, he has advocated for equitable access to diagnostics, treatment and psychosocial support for thousands of patients. He also conceptualised and pioneered a patient navigation programme and a multilingual virtual support network for patients, which has been implemented in multiple hospitals.

Mr Sharma’s work is distinguished by prestigious recognition; his dedicated efforts in creating an environment conducive to research; and global collaborations that have driven substantial policy impact.

Beyond direct patient care, he is a passionate advocate for equality of treatment, actively spreading awareness for cancer research, and promoting a deeper understanding of the disease. And he continues to bridge the gaps between policy, patient needs and on-the-ground realities.
