Interactive map of lung cancer screening

The interactive map of lung cancer screening is designed to be a regularly updated resource that showcases relevant ongoing and recently completed clinical trials, implementation studies, and national or regional organised low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) screening programmes around the world.

The third edition of the map includes the most recent data on lung cancer incidence, mortality and LDCT screening status by country. It also includes more examples of implementation in action, from pilots to national programmes. A helpful user guide is available to demonstrate how to get the most out of the map. For more information, including the search strategy and eligibility criteria for inclusion on the map, please refer to the research methodology or the user guide.

For definitions of terms, please see the glossary.

Specific variables used in the map are described in the map methodology.

The third edition of the full map database is also available to download as a CSV file (September 2025).
