The Lung Cancer Policy Network and Asia Pacific Coalition Against Lung Cancer (APCLC) are working together to advance screening implementation in the Asia-Pacific region.
Two upcoming activities, a webinar and an in-person workshop, will bring experts together from across the region and provide a platform for shared learning to accelerate the prioritisation of screening.
The Asia-Pacific region faces a unique set of challenges in the epidemiology of lung cancer, risk factors for the disease and varied health systems, all operating within a range of economic and social contexts. These factors must be considered when planning for and implementing a lung cancer screening programme.
Our work with the APCLC uses the Network’s implementation framework as a tool to facilitate and optimise implementation of lung cancer screening. By co-hosting these events, we also hope to foster collaboration and shared learning.
