Overview of domain 6
Domain 6 helps you identify and leverage the data processes already in use in their health system, and to develop approaches to measure, assess and improve programme performance.
Why data monitoring and evaluation, and quality assurance matter
Measuring programme performance helps to identify what is working well and where improvements are needed. Combined with quality assurance, auditing and stakeholder feedback, monitoring and evaluation support consistent delivery, maintain high standards of care and help programmes to keep improving over time.
What this domain covers
Domain 6 guides you through:
Programme monitoring and evaluation
- Identify the key performance indicators needed to assess programme performance, including how these data will be used to improve the service.
Quality assurance
- Identify radiation exposure protocols already in use in the health system, and use or adapt them for the programme.
- Identify ‘near miss’ reporting protocols already in use in the health system, and use or adapt them for the programme.
- Identify imaging scanner calibration protocols already in use in the health system, and use or adapt them for the programme.
- Validate any AI tools used in the programme, including processes to ensure accuracy and specificity.
- Identify auditing protocols already in use in the health system, and use or adapt them for the programme.
- Collect and act on programme feedback from service users and healthcare professionals to inform service improvement.
